Dean of Students - Becca Barnes

I am thrilled to serve as the Dean of Students at Village Meadows for the 2025–2026 school year. This is my eleventh year working in DVUSD, and my experience includes teaching math, reading, writing, theater, reading intervention, and gifted English Language Arts. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring my knowledge and passion for education to Village Meadows.
I grew up in Arizona and attended DVUSD schools as a student. I graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor High School and earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. After eight years in the classroom, I was ready for a new challenge and decided to go back to school to earn my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from GCU.
As an educational leader, I build strong relationships with staff, students, and the community. I believe in setting high academic and behavior expectations—because all learners are capable of achieving success. I encourage strong school and community partnerships to ensure that all students are supported, whether they are at school or home.
The 2025–2026 school year is going to be unlike any other, and I’m so excited to be here to help guide the ship!
