Welcome to kindergarten! I am so excited to be your child's teacher and help them learn this year. This is my seventh year of teaching and my second year of teaching kindergarten. Before coming to Village Meadows, I previously taught 2nd grade for 5 years. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a bachelor's in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. 

I firmly believe in parent's taking an active rule in their student's education. This can be as simple as reading, talking about their day, or cooking with your child at home. I also believe in maintaining open and honest communication with parents. If you ever have any questions or need anything, please let me know. Class Dojo is where most information and pictures will be posted, so please be sure to join our class there!

Village Meadows strives to create a positive learning environment for students by supporting their social, emotional, and academic needs. All students are expected to be safe, engaged in learning, help accountable, and show self-control. As a class, we will come up with additional expectations that are specific to our classroom.

Throughout the day, students will earn or lose points on Class Dojo. If students are following directions and being kind, they will earn points. If students are not following directions, they will be given one reminder before losing points. Parents will be contacted if students lose more than 1 point in a day.
