Hello!  I am Ms. Koenig, your Art Teacher at Village Meadows! 

I have a BA in Printmaking and a BFA in Painting, both from Western Washington University.  I also have a MFA from UC Santa Barbara which focused on 2-D processes.  I am very excited to be teaching Art at Village Meadows.  My art practice has included  printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, collage, sewing and embroidery and handmade books.  I see art as a form of communication and value the creativity, problem solving and critical thinking skills that art requires.

My family moved to Arizona from Washington State in 2010.  We enjoy kayaking in Arizona lakes and camping on the Oregon Coast.  My interests include playing with my dogs, learning about plants and animals native to the Sonoran Desert, listening to audio books and of course creative practice.

I will gladly accept donations of things such as empty kleenex boxes, empty cereal boxes, empty paper tubes and fabric or yarn scraps.  During the year I may ask for donations of specific items but they are never required.  Please let me know if you have any items you would like to donate before sending them in!
