Dixon, Kayla

Hello! I am Ms. Dixon and I am so excited to be joining Village Meadows and continuing my teaching journey.

I am originally from Long Island, New York and moved here at the beginning of 2023. Even as a little kid, I wanted to be a teacher. I remember asking my first grade teacher for extra copies of assignments to take home and try to teach my little sister.

Some quick facts about me:

My favorite food is pizza.

I love to sing. I am always listening to music and love talking about my favorite artists as well.

I have two dogs, Biggie and Charlie.

I love to read, and social studies has always been my favorite subject to learn about and teach.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, watching documentaries, and thrifting.

I am beyond excited to be teaching 6th grade ELA and Social Studies this year and I look forward to meeting and bonding with all my students!

n class, students are expected to follow all school rules according to the S.E.A.S. matrix posted in all classrooms and around the campus. These behaviors fall into the categories of Safe, Engaged, Accountable, and Self-Control.

If a student is not following the set expectations, after 2 warnings, they will be given a Behavior Report that needs to be returned and signed.

When students are following expectations, they can be rewarded by getting Viking Vouchers. Students can also gain points in class for positive behavior and when they reach 10, they can receive a prize.
